Can you tell Peru from Greenland?
For each of 20 questions, Peru or Greenland is chosen 50/50, then a random unused picture from that country is shown. You must do more than guess: you must say how confident you are. It is a quiz about both visual recognition and probability.
The interesting part is the uncertainty
Not just getting things rightA pure 50/50 guess gives 0 points. If you are 90% confident and right, you get many points — but if you are wrong, the penalty is correspondingly large. The aim is not to be the most confident, but to be the best calibrated.
Tip: A high score comes from distinguishing between “I think this is probably right” and “I am almost certain”.
